Kitchen
The kitchen is one of the most scrutinised areas during a final inspection. Pay close attention to the oven, rangehood and any built-up grease.
- Clean oven inside and out, including racks and door glass
- Degrease rangehood filters and wipe down exterior
- Wipe down all benchtops and splashbacks
- Clean inside and outside of all cupboards and drawers
- Clean sink, taps and drain
- Wipe down dishwasher inside and out
- Clean fridge inside and out (if included)
- Mop floor and clean skirting boards
Bathrooms & Toilets
Bathrooms need to be scrubbed thoroughly, with particular attention to grout, taps and the toilet.

Every room needs to be vacuumed, dusted and wiped down. Don't forget light switches, door handles and window sills.

- Wipe down light switches and power points
- Clean window sills, tracks and frames
- Spot clean walls and remove any marks
- Clean inside built-in wardrobes
- Wipe down door handles and frames
Windows & Glass
Clean windows make a significant difference to the overall appearance of the property.
- Clean all internal windows
- Wipe down window frames and sills
- Clean sliding door tracks
- Remove any stickers or marks from glass
Outdoor Areas
If your rental includes a yard, patio or garage, these areas need to be left clean and tidy.
- Sweep patio, verandah and outdoor areas
- Remove all rubbish and personal items
- Clean garage floor if applicable
- Mow lawn and remove weeds (if applicable)
